    Hi all

    My PC is a 2009 machine, 64 bit with a Phenom II 925 quad processor with a 1TB HD... so very old by PC standards.

    Instead of buying a new machine I was thinking I would buy a SSD and move the operating system to it as it seems to take an age to boot and use the current HDD as storage.

    What is the best and easiest way to do this?

    Can I just install the SSD as a secondary, move the op system then switch the drives or is it a little more difficult than that? Any help will be much appreciated.

    Windows 10 Installation to new SSD while keeping old HDD

    Installed a new SSD, so my PC now has two drives. Have been running Windows 10 on the old HDD. I want to install Windows 10 on the new SSD. Using the Windows ISO DVD I made there is no choice where to install WIndows 10. I am not sure how to remove Windows
    10 from the old HDD and install it on the SSD to speed up boot.

    I read where you cannot remove Windows 10 from the original HDD. Not sure if that is true.

    Hi

    I purchased a new m.2 ssd .I want to install windows 10 on it.But i also want to keep my old hdd for storage (which currently has win 10) .How can I format the old and install win 10 on new ssd?

    Also link the necessary resources and links please.My dell laptop is almost new and i dont want to mess it up.

    Adding an old SSD to new computer

    When I got my new computer, I also got another SSD, so now that I am adding the old SSD in addition to my new one and HDD I am not sure what to do. Before I added my SSD from my old one, I reinstalled Windows 10 on it. I do not want to remove it since it
    cost me money, so I am keeping it as a backup, however when I open file explorer, I see 4 disks; Local Disk (CMoving operating system to a new SSD on old Machine, but keep old HDD :), HDD (DMoving operating system to a new SSD on old Machine, but keep old HDD :), System Reserved (EMoving operating system to a new SSD on old Machine, but keep old HDD :), and Local Disk (EMoving operating system to a new SSD on old Machine, but keep old HDD :). The last two have only appeared after I have added the old SSD.

    My problem is that I would like to use my old disk for games, yet want to keep another copy of Windows 10. Additionally I don't fully understand why the System Reserved disk shows up and would not like to see it, do you know what I can do?
