    Can I take my window7 hard drive out of my old machine and put it in a newer machine? There are programs I am used to using that won't run on win10. I would really like to clone my HD to an SSD and then dispose of the old system.

    Cheap Photo box that will get the job done

    WEll i took on this project for PP hes a hardware reviewer and wants to get the professional looking pics for the Pc parts

    Materials:
    • Big cardboard box
    • a razor
    • white material 3 yards
    • cone lights
    • stapler
    • medical tape
    • pvc pipe about 6 inches longer than your box
    • white paint any cheap finger paint would work
    the project I'm guessing will cost me $30 if it works out properly
    I will post pictures and step by step as i do it

    New SSD - Moving Windows 7

    Since my original post I dug around a little more. It looks like Acronis seems to be the best program to do this. They have step by step instructions in there manual on page 58 "Chapter 12. Transferring the system to a new disk".

    I'm going to give this a shot once I get my drive. I'll let ya know how it goes.
