Windows 10: Mozilla 41.0.1 running slow - Lots of disk activity

Discus and support Mozilla 41.0.1 running slow - Lots of disk activity in Browsers and Email to solve the problem; Goddamnit the issue has resurfaced again after one day.     Goddamnit the issue has resurfaced again after one day. Even if I visit a certain set of webpages, the places file is again 10 MB in size.

    Just chiming in to say that I have found a possible workaround. I downloaded sqlite3 and create the following batch file:

    for %%a in (*.sqlite) do sqlite3.exe %%a vacuum

    That will compact all sqlite databases. I find pretty stupid that CCleaner has got an option to do this but Mozilla doesn't.

    After a lot more testing, with FF 41.0.2 I have, at last, pinpointed the issue.

    This page makes FF choke heavily. -> 20minutos.es - El medio social - Última hora, local, España y el mundo (an Spanish newspaper)
    Any idea how to fix it? I have tried tinkering with page permissions but I have noticed no difference.
    As soon as I close the aforementioned page everything works fine.

    If I globally disable AdBlockPlus, everything is better but I got a truckload of shitty ads. *Sad
