Windows 10: Mozilla’s Firefox to be Rebranded with New Icons and more

Mozilla is working on overhauling its Firefox browser with new icons and features. The company is currently testing internally a new Rebranded version of its Firefox web browser.

Mozilla is working on two new sets of icons which will be used for browser versions and apps across all supported platforms. The company in a statement released this week has confirmed that it is working on new icons for its web browser and is seeking feedback from users meaning that the icons are not the final product and are expected to undergo change before the official roll out.

Mozilla in a statement said: “A team made up of product and brand designers at Mozilla has begun imagining a new system to embrace all of the Firefox products in the pipeline and those still in the minds of our Emerging Technologies group. Working across traditional silos, we’re designing a system that can guide people smoothly from our marketing to our in-product experiences”.

There will be new set of browser icons for existing desktop versions of Firefox along with new browser icons for mobile version of the browser. Mozilla is also working on icons for new apps and services which are expected to be made available soon.

Madhava Enros, Sr. Director, Firefox User Experience and Tim Murray, Creative Director, Mozilla confirmed that the company is working on typography, graphic patterns, motion, naming events and other elements which will form a total brand experience.

Mozilla has not confirmed any ETA as to when the new rebranded Firefox browser will be rolled out to all supported platforms but the company is currently testing the new version and we expect it to be made available sooner than later.

Mozilla Firefox 3.5 to Get New Browser Icon

For the upcoming new Firefox 3.5 (Shiretoko), Mozilla is planning an important final update: fresh new looks of the venerable Firefox icon. Mozilla has already announced its intention to slightly revisit the logo and today the team behind Firefox's development issued first renders. The refreshed icon is work of Jon Hicks, the original logo creator, and from his words it “introduced additional detail to the fur, and the flames starting to wrap around planet mozilla which significantly modernizes and streamlines the appearance of the icon.” With the new icon, Mozilla aims to stamp the various changes it has made during the evoluion of the Firefox web browser. First release candidate of Firefox 3.5 is slated for June this year, no one can predict when the final version will be out.

Cannot uninstall Mozilla Firefox in Windows 10.

I went to Control Panel/Uninstall and placed checkmark next to Mozilla Firefox, then clicked Uninstall and nothing happens. The icon is gone from desktop but it still appears in list of Programs. Any suggestions?
