Windows 10: MP4 Editing with Video Editor

I am trimming a lot of videos as an instructor. I want to reset the app that "plays/opens" mp4 files to the video editor that comes with Windows 10. I cannot find any way to do this. There is no "open with" option on the menu below. The default apps under Settings will not let me select the video editor and the video editor is not listed in the Microsoft store. I have to open the video editor, go find the video I just created, then add it to the video editor. Is there a different Microsoft approved app I can use that will change this 4 step process to 1?

That seems to be a 1 year license and not a lifetime license.

I'd suggest trying the free version (feature limited) before buying anything.

When you say add second video do you mean that you want to join two videos together?

If not then export the first video so that you have a copy of the finished video then close the project.

First you can delete. (optional if you don't want to save the project for further editing later)




Then close.




Then if you want to resume from where you left off and make further changes you can either save the project or else if you finished editing there is no need to save it.




Then you can start a new project in order to add another video to edit.
