Windows 10: MPEG-TS file in preview pane of file explorer

I downloaded some mp 4 file but I could not get a duration of video. Moreover when I clicked on "properties" the detail section also did not give any info. I tried with Media Info which gave info that is really not a mp4 but mpeg-ts file. I just rename extension from mp4 to ts and miracle! I got all of detailed info length, codecs, bit rate. It is interesting that I was able to watch this file with mp4 extension using Windows media Player the same as VLC and Daum Pot.


But I after I changed the extension I could see a preview image in preview pane anymore. I am able to see image in Details pane and view large/extra large icons but in preview panel I see a script. That's mean Windows 10 internally treat this file not as a video file but as a typescript by default .ts extension treat file as typescript file not a video file.


How to preview a ts file in preview panel as a image not a script?

I have an encrypted file and I want to find the code or even the type of encryption
this file is a stream channel
with 3 scrambled playload and private data 16 bytes
its ts offline 1mn

Setting the Preview pane to show or hide in File Explorer will apply to all folders. If you wish to hide the Preview pane in File Explorer, we suggest that you follow the steps below:

• Open File Explorer.
• Tap on View tab.
• Click Preview Pane to view/hide it.
