Defender's removal of severe threats

There’s no need to remove anything from the Quarantine. Quarantined items could be safely left it in the Quarantine indefinitely, but will in fact be automatically removed after 90 days; or after the number of days specified with the -QuarantinePurgeItemsAfterDelay
parameter.

-QuarantinePurgeItemsAfterDelay

Specifies the number of days to keep items in the Quarantine folder. If you specify a value of zero or do not specify a value for this parameter, items stay in the Quarantine folder indefinitely.

The default value of this parameter is actually 90 days; but you can set your own preference with the PowerShell Set-MpPreference cmdlet.

Right-click on the Start button and select Windows PowerShell (Admin); then copy and paste this command
– and then add the desired number of days and enter:

Set-MpPreference -ScanPurgeItemsAfterDelay
[integer specifying the number of days]

 

Defender's removal of severe threats

I followed these instructions, but the system would not let me paste the copied item, the command. I tried again, was able to paste the command but then got the following response:

Powershell "add-MpPreference"

Good Evening,

Is it possible using the Powershell Command "add-MpPreference" to run a FULL Scan in Defender Offline ? or indeed to do a deeper or more extended scan ?
