Windows 10: "MRB", "EFI" and "GPT" problem when trying to Clean-Install W11 onto my Dell laptop.

I encountered this problem when trying to Clean-Install Windows 11 to my Dell Latitude 7430 laptop today, please see all three attached pictures. From what I can gather from google it looks like it could have something to do with the "Boot Sequence" or "Boot Mode" of the BIOS; please see the first attached picture. The error-message of the third attached picture says: "Windows cannot be installed to this disk. The selected disk has an MBR partition table. On EFI systems, Windows can only be installed to GPT disks. Windows cannot be installed to this disk. Setup does not support configurati

You can do what @NavyLCDR said in post #8 ie. Install with MBR disk type provided that your current MBR disk have less than 4 partitions.
or if you still want to install with GPT disk type then

The easiest way without doing all the steps above is:

1. Download from my google drive: DiskGenius.7z - Google Drive
   Format a USB with FAT32 and set it to active
   Unzip DiskGenius.7z to the root of the USB
2. Boot up. Right click on the Drive that you want to install Windows ->Convert to GUID partition table then click on Save All. This will convert the disk to GPT disk without losing Data
   
   
   
3. Once done. Boot up your installation disk to continue the installation.

 

Clean install of XP on Dell laptop?

My friend has an inspiron laptop from dell. He got it with Vista preinstalled on it, but wants to switch back to XP. He got an XP Pro CD, but when he inserted it, the "Install XP Now" option was greyed out. I thought it might be dell trying to make life difficult when reinstalling windows. *Confused Any advice??

If I formatted the hard drive for him, NTFS, would I be able to clean install XP or would the prob still be there?

Unfortunately in teh boot menu I dont have a 2nd option for the usb drive.
I only have UEFI option

And CSM boot is enabled

As i wiped the C drive during the initial installation attempt I cannot boot the laptop into Windows to start with?

I have managed to create kyhis recovery usb using Navy's trick of adding the wim file .

I've then used fastcopy to copy the data that I needed to an external HDD.

What are the next best steps as I can wipe the drive completely if needed. Just don't know how that affects the whole GPT v MBR process
