MS Access much slower on computation with Win 10?

I have a MS Access database that requires a high level of computation when making changes to the SQL structure thru imported tables etc. With Win 7 on my Dell i7 XPS 8300 this took a few minutes. Now with a clean install of Win 10 and the same Access 2010 version it takes up to 10 minutes. Task Manager doesn't show the CPU running at 100% but something has slowed down. Anyone else seen computation slow downs with Win 10 versus Win 7?

    :)

Anyone else think the last windows 10 update has caused more problems than it solved?

Since the latest Win 10 update, my computer has problems.

    The mail app doesn't work.

Edge is slow when it does work (IE 11 seems fine).

    Other activities are much slower.

i upgraded to win.10 when i got a notice the it was ready. It looked like it upgraded fine, but once i started to use it i noticed that i was not working as well as it should have.

I tried to access the settings to remove win10 and i figured that i would upgrade later, i can wait. I just want my computer back to working order. But the settings button does not work. i have tried the settings link in the start bar, the tile in the start
tile section. And the settings in the notifications section. And nothing.

the computer is much slower in booting up, and beside the settings there are other tiles that wont work. I need help ,but MS seems to be unreachable.

so if someone could help. Please.

No, I have not seen any slow downs versus 7. I think Windows 10 is faster than 7, I would check in Task Manager and see what programs are hogging up memory, disk, CPU, or anything else and close any programs you are not using at the moment. I would try those and see what happens. It could be that it is the Office 2010, it may not be optimized for Windows 10 just yet or maybe never.

So what you're saying is, is that it is taking around 10 minutes to edit or load a database? You may have to buy Office 2013 or 2016, that might be a good route to go, so that then you are more updated to the latest things.

Sorry for my English Google Translation

I think I have the solution.
I was 4 days watching lots of opinions and the solution, as always, it was very simple.
It helped me a comment on the speed of Access and links.
It turns out that was not used as tables and links called at that time were non-existent (due to changes in computer and its local routes or network).
With 34 bits there was no problem when you open a still good local table without linking, but with a 64-bit (in my case Windows Server 2012) to open the good board was slow to open 2 minutes, staying the hanging Access ( " no answer ").
The problem disappears miraculously remove the tables with nonexistent links and not really useless to have them as well. Eye, removing each of these tables, the Access a minute or hangs. Must be left until you see deleted the table. So do the same with wrongly linked tables, and then restart the Access (to close for the first time also hang a little).
    And voila, that's all.
Microsoft should notify the Access to open a link failures to proceed to remove them.

Once Win 11 is available, how much longer will MS support Win 10?: Will PS backport any Win 11 features to Win 10? e.g. Android app support? How much longer will MS provide patches or security patches? I know that no one knows answers right now (outside of Microsoft), but I thought I should still throw these questions to the forum. 181561
