Hello all,

My First post here and would like to mention issues with Windows 10 that I have seen while setting up a mining rig with Windows 10. I chose Win10 as it was easiest to work with and tune my MSI RX 570 Armor OC 8GB Samsung memory cards to about 29gh/s on Ethereum. I was experiencing random crashes/system hangs and started investigating the issue.

As I poked and prodded Win10, I found that I only had 5-6 AMD HD Audio Drivers (for Audio on DP and HDMI) installed out of 8 GPU cards. When I switched my Device Manager view to View per Connection, I have noticed some of my GPUs were missing the Audio Drivers and the Device Manager was constantly updating with the AMD HD Audio Drivers... At most, I have seen 7 out of 8 of them.

It seems like Windows 10 has a limit around 5 AUDIO Sound Cards in one Windows installation and is there any way of fixing this issue? I am reaching out to any Microsoft Tech looking at this Reddit if they can confirm if Windows limits the amount of Audio sound drivers in Windows.

I will be growing my System to 12-13 video cards soon but with this limitation in Windows 10, I think this may cause some stability issues as Windows will spend most of its time trying to install the HDMI Audio drivers for cards that do not have any HDMI connected to it.

If possible, can Windows 10 be reviewed to "FIX" all these audio drivers to Not install Audio drivers IF there are no HDMI or DP cables connected to it? This way, the audio drivers will only load/install if HDMI or DP are detected?

I expect other Cryptocoin miners using Windows 10 may be experiencing the same issues and would like this issue resolved as well.

Additionally, anyone who is Mining, are you experiencing the same issues?

Unlocked Realtek HD Audio Drivers Windows 7 & 8 (With Dolby Digital Live and DTS Interactive)

DTS supported natively by Windows 8/8.1 and it should work on windows 10 too just DDL require to unlock your driver .

• Run the audio troubleshooter.
  
• Run SFC/DISM to scan and repair the corrupted and missing system files.

The Ultimate Realtek HD Audio Driver Mod for Windows 10

Everyone that post ids, need just do these steps and you will be good. I kinda tired of keep on uploading the inf. file

1.Go Open up device manager
2. Go under sound,video, and game controllers
3. Find Realtek High Definition Audio
4. Right click and hit update driver
5. Browse my computer for driver software
6. Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer
7. Click Have Disk and hit browse
8. Click on the Realtek HD Audio mod folder and look for win64
9. Click on the HDXRT4 and click ok,
10. Click Next and Yes
additional if you want dts audio and others, install it now before next step.
After it is done, restart the PC

You should be good then and also make sure before doing these steps that you have driver enforcement disabled.
