Windows 10: Ms-Authenticator app

I really apologize if this question was asked, but i, am in bit panic and burnt out mental state. I just can not get ms-authenticator to work. I have accounts set up i have register device but when I try lo log in the code come on my device while I have the app open telling me to open the app with the code. Just can't make sense how to authenticate from phone to login site. I've read and made adjustments. Now I can't log in. I know its gotta be something I'm missing I just can't find. If someone can just so kindly give me a clue on configurations that might help. Whatever tip is good..ty mybad
