    MS calendar defaulting AND changing busy time to free - HELP!!!!!!


    Since the last couple of weeks my MS windows calendar keeps changing all my meetings from Busy time to Free. This is terrible because my calendar is attached to various scheduling apps and I cannot have people double booking. I have looked everywhere and I cannot find a setting to make it automatically default to busy. But it changes it back to free EVERY single time. This is completely unacceptable.     Cannot set "Calendar" as default app

    Hi J.C.Coelho,



    Welcome to Microsoft Community. Your interest in Windows 10 Technical Preview is much appreciated.



    I would suggest you to try the below steps and check whether you are able to make the Calendar as default.

    • Go to Settings.
    • Click on System.
    • Select Default apps from the left pane.
    • Click on Choose default app by protocol at the bottom.
    • Select the Calendar and choose an app.

    Mail & Calendar App


    By default, M&C app will install an outlook account according to your sign in. I sign into W10 with a non MS account "---@gmail.com" so my default account is listed like this, I can't seem to straighten it out/ delete/change it. Suggestions appreciated.

    windows 10 default calendar cannot be set to the calendar app

    Hi,

    Thank you for your interest in Windows 10.

    I suggest you to follow the steps below to set Calendar app as default:

    • Press Windows key + X.
    • Click on Control Panel and click on Default Programs.
    • Click on Set your Default Programs.
    • Click on Calendar app on the left side and click on
      Set as Default from the drop down option. Refer to the screenshot below:
