  1. MS Defender and third party AntivirusFireEye using a lot of resources

We have MS Defender running in our environment, but due to compliance issues we need to push out FireEye enterprise wide. The issue is MS Defender is not going into passive mode like we thought would happen. Why isn't MS Defender recognizing FireEye Trellix agent and not going into passive mode?

    :)

    Good LAN party games?

Most of my suggestions have already been listed.

However, I found Swat4 to actually be a pretty fun LAN game, especially at smaller LAN parties.

  3. Widows defender scan is consuming lots of resources

Windows defender's scan named as "Anti-malware service executable" simply is consuming a lot of resources and is constantly running in the background. And further, if we do a manual full scan if just peeking the CPU usage (I have a i5-10th gen- upper midrange), just imagine the case of a few pc that barely reaches the minimum requirements.

    Windows Defender problem

    Hi Ernst,

To troubleshoot this issue, we suggest that you check the Windows Defender service if it's running. If you are using a third party spyware/malware program, it may disable the Windows Defender service. To do this, please follow the steps below:

    • Press Windows + R key.
    • Type services.msc.
    • Right-click Windows Defender service and click
      Start.

    Let us know the result.
