MS Defender reports a threat file path that is not a file path. How do I access it?

On my Windows 10 laptop, I am using the Windows 7 Backup and Restore program. The backup is failing due to a threat detection. I assume that the backup is calling my Windows Defender program for threat detection, because the only A/V program I have is Defender. When I try to find this threat, I see that Defender's Protection History repeatedly lists a failure to remediate the threat "Trojan:HTML/Phish!pz". I am supposing this is the reason that Backup won't copy. At this point, I want to neutralize this threat.I tried to find and delete the threat, but the file path give is "\Device\Harddisk

    Add a path to $PATH?

Yeah, I think you're right. I think the purpose of the echo command was to check if ~/bin was in the $PATH file. My problem is that I can't decipher the output and I don't know how to add ~/bin to the $PATH file.

Just for clarification, the snippet of instructions I gave is just a few steps in the installation process. Nothing is actually supposed to be installed with those steps.

    Thanks for the reply.
