Windows 10: MS Defender User Journey Areas for Improvement

Hi Team, We are in the process of utilising MS Defender Attack Simulation Training for staff and students of a university. Ideally, we would like to direct staff and student to the Defender portal via security.microsoft.com/trainingassignments. Unfortunately, we have found some undesirable features of the Defender portal. As these concerns are currently unavoidable, a ticket will be logged with Microsoft and a forum post made attempting to prompt MS to resolve these issues. Issues include: - Left hand side navigation panel with more content than desired ie. buttons such as threat intellig

No windows defender icon in the notification(system try) area.

We appreciate your response. To further isolate this issue, we suggest that you create a test user profile. Using the test user profile, check if Windows Defender is still not listed under Select which icons appear on the taskbar option. This is for us to
verify if the issue is isolated with one user profile or with multiple accounts.

To create a test user profile, follow these steps:

• Using Cortana search, type Settings and then hit the Enter key.
• In the Settings window, select Accounts.
• Select Family & other people.
• Click Add someone else to this PC.
• Click I don't have this person's sign-in information.
• Click Add a user without a Microsoft account.
• Name the user as TEST and then provide a password.

MS Defender Won't Load After Upgrade to Windows 10 Ver 1511

Attempted every step in document provided by Microsoft

Nothing worked, HOWEVER, the last step is to Delete Conflicting Registry Entries. My registry contains one of the entries listed (MsMpEng.exe) however, REGEDIT could not delete this entry as I was directed.

Problem still exists; as soon as I start MS Defender, it stops.

Any further suggestions?

 

Maps improvement program

Could someone tell me exactly what data is collected as part of the improvement program and how this is used by Navteq and / or Ovi and how fast improvements are implemented? It seems to me that whilst Ovi maps has improved there are still too many instances
where the routing is erratic and performance wise it lags behind some of its competitors.



A good example recently where the outbound journey was 85 miles yet the return suggested 116, upon deviating to my preferred (and outbound) route the predicted journey time dropped by some 25 minutes or so despite traffic conditions being the same.
