Windows 10: MS Desktop Wireless Keyboard 900 apostrophe key stuck

Hi Everyone,


I recently purchased a MS Desktop Wireless Keyboard/Mouse 900.


Everything has been working fine until today, when the apostrophe key seems to have become stuck not physically so that I can only type quotation marks '' '' instead of a single apostrophe. Obviously this is causing some problems when trying to type contracted words etc.


It's behaving as if the shift key is being held down, however no other keys are behaving like this.


Has anyone encountered this issue before and have any suggestions? I'm wondering if I may have hit a shortcut or combo that has caused this that I'm not aware of.


Any insight would be appreciated.

Issues with using back sapce key through MS Sculpt wireless keyboard on Windows 10.

Original Title: MS Sculpt wireless keyboard

I use an MS Sculpt wireless keyboard with a Dell XPS 13 and recently updated to Windows 10. No problems at first then suddenly the back space on the keyboard has stopped working. I have tried updating the drivers, replacing the batteries, checked for loose
material under they key - but no success. Everything else on the keyboard works.

Also, if i remove the dongle from the laptop and then replace it, the keyboard immediately gets stuck on backspace so that text keeps being deleted until I press another key.

Any suggestions?

Computer Keeps Typing Apostrophe's

My laptop keyboard is completely non-functional. It completely unresponsive since that family memeber cleaned it with wrong spray, and it wasn't typing apostrophe's from the start. It was only a month after we replaced the keyboard that the apostrophe thing happened. I don't know if it can be fixed, And I don't think it's even the problem, but what kind of shop do you want me to go to to get it replaced, if that's what I need to do?

 

Best wireless gaming keyboard?

Why would you move away from the reciever? Do you like to ride around your room on your wheelie-chair while gaming or something? *Confused

And I do play fast paced FPSs and I 100% guarantee you, cross my heart hope to die, swear on my mother's grave, that there is noooooooooooo lag at all. None. Nada. Zilch.

Because 'serious' gamers are uninformed about the accuracy of modern wireless systems and believe (like yourself and Shibdib) that wired will be more accurate, which is not the case. *Toast :toast:

But anyway... I've narrowed it down to 4 keyboards:

The Gigabyte GK-KM7600:

• The most stylish keyboard here
• Good placement of multimedia keys
• Price
• A nice change from Logitech

• Could have rubbish feeling domes

The Logitech illuminated K800 Wireless Keyboard:

• ILLUMINATED. awesome feature on a wireless keyboard. I've been looking for an illuminated wireless keyboard for ages, I believe this is the first and only one ever made ever. *Big Grin
• Quality

• Stupid function key system for multimedia keys.

The Logitech MK550:

• Fantastic placement of multimedia keys, one which I am quite familiar with.
• Ergonomics

And the Logitech MX-5500:

• Get a great mouse with it

• Pricey due to said mouse

Opinions? I wish I could just buy all of them. *Cry :cry:
