Windows 10: MS DOS Program Crashes Win 10 Pro/32

I am trying to run a very old MS DOS program on Win 10 Pro/32 1909. I know it works on Win 10/32 because other IT people in the industry have it running.


What happens is that the program screen flashes up, then holds for a second or two then crashes. The background stays on the screen and a whole bunch of writing is displayed.

DOS/4GW Professional error GPF, bunch of lines, then at the bottom:

Memory allocation error

Cannot load Command, system halted


No more prompt or anything, the window is dead,dead,dead. The only thing that I can do is close it.


Some of the things I tried

disable UAC

installed NTVDM that's automatic anyways

disabled firewall

I set the environment variables in Autoexec.nt and Configsys.nt

set to run as administrator

checked box for Legacy console


Please, please, please, don't give me advice about turning off security features and all the other warnings about running an old app etc. Right now I am running experiments on a test machine and I have to get this DOS program running.

May I ask MS to replace my Win 10 Pro 32 bit with Win10 Pro 64 bit?

My old desktop has Win 7 Pro 32bit. The Mobo is Asus P5K Premium/WiFi-AP which limits the max. RAM up to 8GB in 64bit Windows, or 4GB (usable ram is 3.25 GB) in 32 bit Windows. Before Free Upgrade, I hoped, I can get a Win 10 Pro 64 bit, but a Win 10 Pro
32bit has been automatically picked and installed on my old PC. I had no choice. I upgraded my RAM from 4GB to 8GB before the free Win 10 upgrade. However, the usable RAM is now still 4GB when systen info is checked. So, my free win 10 upgrade set a unbreakable
performance bottleneck on my old PC if I do not replace Win 10 32bit with Win 10 Pro 64bit . There is no channel for user to contact MS by Email or Phone. Now I try to ask community help, how to resolve my problem. Maybe MS would allow me to download a copy
of Win 10 Pro 64 bit. I think, quite many windows users are facing same or similar problem. I would suggest MS to provide windows users with possible options (32/64 bit, home/Pro) before Win 10 free upgrade

Upgrade Windows 10 32-bit to 64-bit.

You have to do a "clean install" of Win 10 64 bit. There is no "upgrade" process from 32 to 64 bit.

Did you have Win 7 Home or Pro. There is no "free upgrade" from Win 7 Home to Win 10 Pro. You have to do that upgrade in at least 2 steps:

Win 7 Home to Pro to Win 10 Pro

OR

Win 7 Home to Win 10 Home to Win 10 Pro

The 32 bit to 64 bit upgrade is a separate additional step.

Run the WinVer command. What Version and Build do you have?

If you have Version 1803, many people have reported "accidental" upgrades from Home to Pro by MS. But that "upgrade" doesn't work!

 

mtype_v5_1_keygen.exe prevents the installation of MS Office Pro 32-bit

I installed MS Office Pro 32-bit on WIN 7 Pro 64-bit a few years ago with no problem. I was trying to install this on WIN 10. The file in the title prevents the installation. I don't understand why the install worked on WIN 7 Pro, but WIN 10 targets this
file and refuses to start the install.

Any help would be appreciated.
