    MS Edge: change what appears when you place mouse in location bar


    HiAs you can see in the screenshot, we have MS Edge on the left and Firefox on the right. If you click the mouse in the location bar, Edge shows in the dropdown the latest Bing ? search terms, whereas Firefox by default shows I guess some of the most frequently visited sites. This is my preference and as I try to use Edge more and more as because of its many advantages, including some specific much used extensions, being longtime user of Firefox.Is it possible to change the MS Edge settings so by DEFAULT it shows most frequently visited sites as shown in Firefox above.     how to change SAVE AS locations, used to use PLACES BAR EDITOR


    gpedit is in the Pro version as it was in Win 7 and 8. Not available in the home (non-Pro) version.

    Couldn't you use the Qucik Access list in the left pane? I believe you can add and remove items from it.

    Hi,

    Thank you for contacting Microsoft community.

    I suggest you to follow the below steps if you are using Microsoft edge in MSN home page for changing your current location and check if it helps.

    • Open edge browser login to msn.com.
    • Then on the right hand side, click on gear icon.
    • Go to settings, then under “market and language” and “home location” option change your current location and check whether it shows correct.
    If you are using bing.com through edge browser then I suggest you to follow the below steps and check.

    • Open edge browser login to bing.com.
    • Then on the right hand side, click on gear icon.
    • Go to “region” option and click on “change your region” link.
    • Then select your country it will take your location.

    MS Edge and moving favorites

    Hi,

    Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

    I understand your concern regarding the issue that you are facing.

    I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps

    There is no option to Move, you can add the site to favorites bar

    • Open the site, click on add to favorites or reading list
    • Select the save location as Favorites bar
    • Then you will be able to see the sites in favorites bar
