Should I uninstall my 3rd party AV protection & let Windows Defender do the job?

1. When (exact date) was KB4010250 installed according to your Update History
(this time)?

2. KB3213986 was released on 10 January 2017, KB4010250 on 21 February 2017. Any guesses as to why they weren't offered or installed on your computer until 10 March 2017?

Just got it also. Updated to 24.0.0.221

 

Just received the flash update now, on three home computers. Did not receive a notice to reboot, but decided to reboot anyway.

I got it today and it did require a restart. Guess MS decided it was critical to push it through early*Wink

 

Interesting why some PCs require a restart and some don't after flash patches. Wonder why that is. I just updated both our machines and neither required a restart but that's not always been the case. Anyway glad they released these and they have installed without any drama

 

Does anyone notice a speed boost online (with edge) after these flash player updates are applied? My browsing speed always increases after these. Edge had become very sluggish before the security update....

 

I was wondering that too. Perhaps a restart was needed because I had IE open while the update was installing?

Just ran mine. Got an Intel Graphics Driver with the Flash Player update. No restart here.

 

Maybe there should have been a restart? Came back to find this thing Froze up. Nothing would wake it up. Had to kill the power and bring it back on. Intel Graphics then came up for "configuration". Hope this isn't the start of a pattern.

 

I've run WU on 6 computers so far. My two Insider machines didn't "see" or download the Flash update, but the other four did. None of them asked for a reboot, but I did notice some interesting behaviors in the machines post-install. A voluntary restart seemed to help. I've got to go upstairs and run those updates on my wife's and son's PCs and will report further if I see anything interesting there.

So far all "seems" to be back to normal since the restart. No more freeze ups yet. I'll do Gayle's laptop later after I get over some of my present apprehension.

 

My AU Build got it but my IP didn't.
