Windows 10: MS forced update crashed my desktop. Support ticket not responded to. How do I get live...

Stepped away from my desk. Came back and MS had rebooted my computer. Was on a setup screen asking if I wanted to link all computers now or wait 3 days. I hit continue. It said "done". Norton asked if I wanted to do a scan. The scan showed no issues. Within an hour my computer rebooted again without notice. This time it says the reboot failed. Trouble shooting options on screen are unsuccessful. Hard reboot unsuccessful. Minimally tech savvy and not seeing knowledge base articles that apply. Need human assistance. Opened a ticket that said I'd get a reply in "0 minutes", which I thought meant

B3 Phenom support

I checked gigabyte's site on my GA-M57 and it didn't say anything about b3 stepping update, but all of the x3 chips are b3 steppings, so just use the x3 support bios if available.

 

Windows Updated(16299.309).KB4088776 Restart is required to complete.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.
