    MS Game registration failure

Last win 10 updated November 2018 - V 1809 (confirmed now as having issues and causing crashes)

On 26th December 18 without notice My computer running win 10 decided to inform me that my 4 year stable Flight Sim Deluxe required registration!

It took two days to get it to register -

7 days ago a major blue screen OD crash after an update attempt

Level 1 and 2 involved, suggested complete install with them - that failed. New drive requested and installed 15 hours of L1 and L2 trying to get Win 10 (v 1809) on to a brand new dive (1TB) Finally archived after huge efforts all around.

team were great and agreed that the issue was not of my machines making. as we were able to see the old drive and its contact but its system was completely shot.

Now I have to install Flight Sim Deluxe. 5 attempts each resulted in failed registration - Today uninstalled for 6th time and tried again. This time the product key screen opened, entered the key - system accessed the internet to get confirmation - no issue there as the CDs are genuine and are now and always been here.

Back came the Phone Activation screen including the 54 digit ID code and the phone number for this zone. I ring and opted for option 3 on the phone - XBOX and Microsoft Games. After 20 minutes hold I get to Malissa. I explain what has accoutred and confirmed THREE TIMES it was a registration over phone for MS Flight sim Deluxe - She suggested peer to peer contact. Unusual but ok, I went with it , Pointed out that the activation screen was blocking the main view area of my screen so bear with me - the screen is not movable - I started the Agent access process. during which Im told, close the registrations screen a further 3 times I asked here "are you sure as I cannot get back to it once its closed because of the ID code on it (which I cleverly wrote down) No , close it I have the way to get back to that screen. - Final check " are you really sure because its going to be a big issue if you cannot". "No sir I CAN do it" came the reply.

When she accessed the now empty screen she suddenly said - this is for a game? - Me yes , I said that 3 times and checked with you.

I cannot do anything Im not a games person only windows!

Now, I was immediately passed to the XBOX team who had no clue why I was there (great professionalism ). Explained my plight and received the most insulting attitude one can imagine - HE, was an XBOX agent Not MS games and pushed me back in to the phone hold and I eventually (30 minutes) was back with - you guessed - Malissa who now said go to on line chat they will help"

I pointed out she'd lost the vital screen which means I'm in trouble plus its a "phone activation " not chat room.

Her manager NAs appears (very quickly) and continue the Unsupported, contact Community for help etc. I point out that that I would still require phone activation and MS OWN SITE cites phone activation for games may be required if a different machine has had the game installed. Mine was the same machine , new drive so it needed phone activation as the servers called that.

So he denied the site would say this ( I offered the link which was on my screen now) and clearly upset. I now decided to close the call citing the fact that he was in denial of what the procedure was in his own companies site.

So here's the question - How do I now activate Flight sim Deluxe where a Microsoft expert has closed the screen which required the input and had the 54 digit ID code and having completely uninstalled and tried 3 times more I'm now just getting the message that there is an issue with the registration and contact Microsoft support.

OR do I just go and buy Lockheed Martin - Prepar3D??

    :)

Is MS reconciling with the PC Gaming Community?

What !?? Games For Windows didn't prove to you that MS was serious about PC gaming? /sarc

Actions speak louder than words. So step up to the plate, Microsoft, or STFU.
