Windows 10: MS Hello

My computer does not support MS Hello yet when I switch profiles (user accounts) I now have to enter my full MS password just to get to enter my 4 digit pin. This is real nuisance as I have a lengthy, complicated password.


I used to be able to simply change profiles and use 4 digit pins but this has changed (likely with a recent software upgrade).


How can I get back to just having to enter a 4 digit pin in order to access my files?

To resolve this camera issue for your Windows Hello, we suggest that you run Hardware and Device troubleshooter. Refer to the following steps:

• Click on 'search' and select 'settings' and type 'Troubleshooting' and select 'Troubleshooting'
• Click on 'Hardware and Sound' and select 'Hardware and 'Devices' and click on next to run the troubleshooter.

Need Serious Help: How To Record Video of What is Done on my PC?


I suggest the following simple steps:

1. Set the autosave options in MS Office to a low value say 5 minutes.
2. Setup file history to autosave frequently - the shortest period is 5 mins
3. Install Macrium Reflect Free and configure it to do a daily incremental system backup

You should be well covered if you do the above to protect your key files.
