Win10 MS Money Sunset - Adding New Payee crashes Money

When I try to add a new Payee in MS Money Sunset running on Win10, I get an error message: "Microsoft Money has stopped working". "A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available".

I can work around by adding each individual new Payee in the Payee list but ideally Money would work as it was intended to do. Has anybody found a solution for this yet?

I upgraded to windows 10 to discover Microsoft Money does not work. Firstly it will not open (This can be by passed with a simple regedit trick), secondly it crashed when adding a new payee. I can bypass this error by clicking on "more" in the left panel un
der "account list" and selecting categories and payees. I can then add a new payee. I used to be able to add the new payee right from the transaction form. any one have a fix so I do not have to work around the problem..

 

Microsoft Money Plus Deluxe: App shuts down when entering new Payees

I recently downloaded Microsoft Money Plus Deluxe onto my new PC which was first upgraded to Windows 10. All my entries are manual. The app works fine with the exception that it gives me the 'Microsoft Money has stopped working' error whenever I attempt
to enter a new transaction where the Payee is not already in the payee list. My workaround has been to submit the transaction with an existing payee, then modify the Payee to the correct new payee.

Has anyone else experienced this issue and if so, are you aware of the fix for it?
