Windows 10: MS office apps i cant lunch them and all my documents cant run them How i can fix that ?

I tried to uninstall office and re installit and it is same

The apps will not open from the taskbar ever or the list of apps.

For example:

I can only open an existing MS Office document from the Documents folder.

If I want to create a new document, I must open an old one, edit the file and save it as a new filename, or I have no other recourse.

I'm starting to think that the user profile has been corrupted.

I'm the administrator and presently there are no other users.

I'm open to suggestions.

MS Office Document Scanner + HP deskjet

Running Windows 10 v.20H2
I recently bought an HP All-in-one Deskjet 2700 Printer. For years I also used the scanner facliity in MS Office 2003-2007 (Microsoft Office Document SCanning), with different printers and in Windows 10. I know it's old (like me) but until now it was fine for me!
But I can't get it to recognise the HP Printer. The MS Office scanner facility was useful as it could scan documents directly into MS Word for editing.
If anyone can suggest a solution, I'd be grateful. HP 2700 has its own scanner but only scans docs into PDF.

Option to pin individual office documents to task bar missing in Windows 10

I recently upgraded to Windows 10 and very disappointingly I notice that I cannot pin individual documents (spreadsheets, MS docs) to the already pinned Microsoft Office apps to my taskbar. The option to "pin" the document is just not there. I know as a
fact that other Windows 10/Microsoft Office 2016 users can pin the documents. I am running on the latest updates to both Windows and Office.

Any suggestions on how can this be fixed?
