    MS OneNote: Getting Rid Of: How, Please ?


    Hello,

    Concerning MS OneNote that came pre-installed on my new PC:

    Causing me all sorts of problems, with re-appearing files after back on my Desktop after
    being (supposedly) sent to the Trash, etc.

    Guess i was signed up for it "automatically," somehow.

    Would like to trash it totally, as I don't need OneNote.
    Can't find it listed in the Remove Programs.
    How do I get rid of it, please ?

    If not practical to delete it, how can I disable it ?
    Seems, I have too sign in to it to be able to use it, and from there, presumably,
    there is a way ?

    But, a complete deletion of it would be my first choice.
    How ?

    How do you access the Onenote server. All I get are MS app ads.

    Win 10: how to disable OneNote app after installing OneNote 2016

    This doesn't seem to solve the problem of wanting to use OneNote 2016 with notebooks that are stored on a SharePoint site. I ran the removal mentioned above and it did indeed get rid of the app (thank you!) but from a SharePoint site, when you choose to
    open a notebook in OneNote (as opposed to OneNote Online) it still wants to look for the APP version only. The only way to get to it is from the client application and file surfing -- which doesn't make teaching people how to get to it very pleasant!
