Windows 10: MS Paint on Windows 11 no longer showing secondary outline text color

I've been using MS paint for years now and never had an issue with the simple process of making text one color and the outline of the text a different one. Suddenly its only registering the primary text color and not the outline color and I'm at a loss as to why. Its just the standard Microsoft's Paint app downloaded from the app store.

Unfortunately, that's no longer possible with the new app. You will have to input another text for a different color. If you're not used to this, I suggest you submit feedback by clicking the gear icon within the app to open the Settings > Send feedback.

While we're waiting for them to update the functionality of the app, you can install the classic Paint so you can have that function back. You can check this for steps:

How do I change text color in paint app Window 11 Pro?

How do I change text color in paint app Window 11 Pro?

In the paint app, I can drag text box and type words, but I do not know how to change the font color.

I do see there are icons for font type, size, bold and etc., but no font color.

Additionally, once I done with typing, I cannot amend or retype that text box.

Please let me know how to do those.

Feels like I can easily change the color and amend in previous Windows but somehow Window 11 Pro being degenerated.

 

Paint 3D Text

Step 1: click the Text tab in Paint 3D

Step 2: On the right pane that appears, under 2d text, click the 3 text 'T' symbol

Step 3: click on the canvas then type your text

Step 4: click outside of the text box

Step 5: use the anchors to adjust the depth and angles

Step 6: to see your 3D text better, click the object then click Edit color, choose a different color.
