Windows 10: MS Photos Indexing - very slow and keeps stopping

I'm trying to use search in MS Photos, but it seems stuck on over 80,000 items to index. Depsite being open since yesterday, it's only dropped from 86900 to 86626 items. ie less than 300 in 24 hours.Is there any way to force the indexing to run a bit faster, or continuously. it does seem to stop after a few mins, although the program is still open.

Photo app in Windows 10 is extremely slow

Rebuilding the search index in your computer may help speed-up the loading of photos in the app. The search index is like a directory of files and media in your computer. Follow the steps below:

• Click Start.
• On the search bar, type Indexing Options, and click on Indexing Options from the results.
• Click Advanced.
• Under Troubleshooting, click Rebuild.

We also suggest that you download and install any pending updates that needs to be installed on the computer through Windows Update and check if it helps resolve the issue.

MS Photos - Slow importing photos

Hello fellow MS Photos users.

Is there a way to increase the speed of importing photos in this app.

It's very slow and it should be possible to do something about it.

If one of you have any ideas, I am open for any suggestions.

I already did repair, reset and so on, but no difference.

Perhaps the programmers should do something about it. I don't know

Windows 10 Windows Search / Indexing Stops Completing

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps

• Press Windows key + R.
• Type Services.msc In the search box.
• Select Windows Search
• Restart the services and set the service as Automatic

If the issue persist try performing Rebuilding Index again.

To rebuild the index follow the steps below:

• Open the Control Panel from the Start menu.
• Open Indexing Options in the Control Panel.
  
• Select the Advanced button in the Indexing Options window.
• Select Rebuild in the Troubleshooting section of the Advanced Options window.
• Select OK when it asks if you’re sure you want to re-build the search index.
