Windows 10: MS sends code to which i can't access? email is part of reserved domain?

microsoft wants pin number , entered forget pin, says it will send code to att email, can't get access to email, can't create new email, outlook claims email is part of a reserved domain, stuck with a new dell laptop that microsoft won't open.

I'm trying to add my daughter to my Windows 10 laptop Users. I get the error, this email is part of a reserved domain. It's my domain name, set up as work, and set up on my laptop as work account (added to Azure too). Now, why can't I add her? I added
my wife.

What is the reason for Reserved Domain?

Possibly as MS have very sensitive DMARC protocols around SPF and DKIM settings to cut down on spammers.

I've had those 550's from my domain when sending test emails to rarely used accounts, I got around it by making sure all my email account addresses are in the contacts address book for each of the email accounts, which will upgrade their 'reputation'.

Bear in mind that these days even known saved contacts that you've corresponded with for years can get spammed (or even bounced/black holed) if their DMARC 'reputation' isn't very clean, which is a constantly moving target. And the same vice versa, you could be getting similarly treated.

Check your WAN IP address and domain for grey/blacklisting, that can affect sending or delivery issues, and/or depending on how the SMTP send side is set up (there are blacklists that monitor certificates/configuration for instance).
