Windows 10: MS Surface brightness is too low after automatic update...

Hello,2 hours ago automatic update was installed on my MS Surface Book 3 and now i have quite bad issue. Screen brightness is too low.Previously i also had this issue sometimes, but usually restarting helped to solve the issue. After restart brightness was almost 100% restored to normal.But with latest update restart doesn't help anymore. Brightness is far below comfortable level! Almost not possible to work anymore. In display settings brightness is set to maximum. Automatic brightness is disabled. I tried to look other options related to screen, but didn't find anything useful.I also didn't

Lumia 925 automatic screen brightness dims too low

My 920 and 1020 behaves in the exact same way as your 925, i.e when the screen is set to automatic brightness the screen dims to a level that is lower than the low brightness setting when I'm in a dimly lit or dark environment. I would therefore suggest
that it is a software issue with Windows Phone and could do with rectifying via an update.

I've learned to live with it though and just set my screens brightness to low during the evening and set it to automatic during the day.

A simple solution but one that works in most circumstances!

1. Click Start, click Run, type services.msc, and then click OK.

2. In the list of services, right-click Automatic Updates, and then click Properties.

3. In the Startup type list, click Automatic, and then click Apply.

4. If Service status is set to Stopped, click Start, and then click OK.

5. Right-click Background Intelligent Transfer Service, and then click Properties.

6. In the Startup type list, click Manual, and then click Apply.

7. If Service status is set to Stopped, click Start, and then click OK.
