MS Wireless Display Adapter unable to connect 64 bit Windows 10 pro Dell 3510

I have windows 10 pro on dell 3510 and unabl to connect MS Wireless Display adapter ...it does show up under Action Center > Connect and ateempts to connected but never gets connected.

Have followed all the troubleshooting steps listed online, updated rivers what not but refuses to work similiar issue reported by another person at work with the same laptop with another MS Wireless Display device.

The display adapter is a week old and updated firmware and what not also it does connect to another hp machine with windows 10 not pro.

Please help as I don't want to pay MS tach support to get this thing to work from the get go as Microsoft Customer Service has been hopeless whereas Dell Tech Support went out of the way to troubleshoot. Had it been not for windows and work machine would have returned the devices but will definately not buy for personal use based off the experience so far.

    :)

Same exact issue here with 2 adapters. Both worked well for a long time, then suddenly could not connect to either one. Adapter shows up on TV and my Microsoft Surface Pro3. Message on Surface is "connecting." Message on TV is "connecting to Bill's device."
Then, "unable to connect." Tried connecting two adapters connected to two TVs using three Surface Pro devices. Same result.

Windows Wireless Display Adapter-not connecting anymore

    Hello Phillip,

Did you notice any changes on your PC prior to the issue? I suggest that you follow the steps outlined in this support article:
    Troubleshooting Wireless Display Adapters.

Since updating drivers did not work, in addition, you can try to reset the Wireless Adapter.

    1. On the adapter, press and hold the reset button for 10 seconds.
    2. When the message " Ready to connect "shows, open the
      Action Center.
    3. Select Connect, and in the list of displays, select
      Microsoft
      Wireless Display Adapter.

Please respond to this thread to let me know how the issue progresses. Similarly, if you have more questions, please inform me by replying to this post.

MS Wireless Display Adapter unable to connect 64 bit Windows 10 pro Dell 3510

MS Wireless display adapter - wont connect

I have a MS Surface Book running Windows 10 and I bought a MS Wireless display adapter to connect to m Samsung Smart TV.

I plugged in the display adapter as per instructions and the connection was made immediately and my laptop now has the display adapter listed.

I was able to project from laptop to TV for a few minutes then it disconnected and will not reconnect.

Each time it tries, it briefly connects, I get the message saying there is a firmware update, but it does not stay connected long enough for me to run the update.

    Its driving me mad.

    Please help!
