Windows 10: MS Word 32-bit application crashed when trying to print using Kyocera Printer in a 64-bit...

There are times wherein Microsoft Word 32-bit application hang-up during printing and no actual printing occurs. When I end the splwow64 process using the task manager, MSWord will respond again but it will occur again after performing few printing operations. I am using Kyocera P4140DN. Tried connecting the printer using actual network and FILE port but still occurs.OS: Windows 11 22H2 Build 22621.1344Application: MS Word 2016 v16.0.4266.1001Tried printing using notepad++ 32 bit and same issue occurs.This issue will NOT occur on the following conditions:-Windows 10-Windows11 21H2-64 Bit MS W

32-bit or 64-bit OS?

64-bit so you can access all of that 4 GiB RAM. Just make sure all your hardware has 64-bit drivers available (especially printers and network devices). If it doesn't have a 64-bit driver, there's a good chance it won't work.


16-bit applications can't run on Windows x64 but 32-bit can. 32-bit applications are no laggier on 64-bit than they are on 32-bit.

64-bit will not boost CPU performance but it can improve 32-bit application stability assuming the are (or are made to be) large address aware.

• I am running Windows 10 / 32 bit
• My computer is a 64 bit CPU with 5Gb Memory
• I use mostly MS Office Applications and a bit of photo and video editing.

Question:

1) Will my system operate much faster if I upgrade to Windows 10 / 64 Bit?

I can upgrade at no cost since I have the Original CD of Windows 7 /64

2) Would yo do it if you were in my place?
