Windows 10: MS WSIM 1903 Crashes on Windows 1909

Hi


As a programmer at the University of Bolton @ BSc level.


MS knows me for activating pcs for customers.


OK here is the problem. When using the Windows System Information Manager it crashes on reading on all types of media for Windows x64 1909.





This includes extraction from esd files to wim files.


I have tested the orginal "first virsion" without any updates of Windows 1909 and that crashes upon catalogue detection


I have tested the updated version 12/2019 with updates of Windows 1909 and that crashes upon catalogue detection


I have installed the patch of the latest update from MS servers for MS WSIM

Windows 10 1903 1909 repeated failure to update

Well would't you know it. I did everything, every step, all the suggestions, months of failed downloads and was going to wipe everything tomorrow and start again, but remembered I hadn't tried your suggestion of updating to 1809 before 1903/09, and blow
me down, but it's updated to 1809 with ease!

I have yet to dare to try and get it to update to 1909 but it's the 1st progress in months, so thanks.

I suggest you run rthdribl > http://www.daionet.gr.jp/~masa/archives/rthdribl_1_2.zip
Increase the window size step by step and watch your vga temps permanently.
What happens?
If it crashes, run at stock speeds as suggested before and retry.

P.S.: When your system locks, does the display signal turn off after a time?
Stuttering sound or no sound at all when freezing?
What X1800XT model do you own exactly?

 

Windows 10, version 1909 - Error 0x80070005

Went through the MCT step and the History shows that there have been multiple failures to install 1903 and 1909 over the last months. The steps I took in your installation did not end up with a successful installation. I did turn off my VPN but not the
MS Defender tool. The web shows that many people have this issue and there are some pretty complicated suggestions, and not sure that any work.

I am sure this is only a MS issue and that Apple would not have this problem.

Any link to advice that will get me on the right road.
