    MS11 Certain keys won’t type or repeat when they are working.


    Problem started over last 2days it is intermittent and not program dependent. Have tried reboot, safe reboot, and ran hardware troubleshooter which said all was fine not! Lol E, I, O, P, Q, R, U and W are the keys with issues. Last windows update was 1/28/23No new software installed Had fan replaced a few weeks back, other than that, it’s been the same. Any ideas? Please and Thank you

    Repeat Keys not Working

    Hey there,

    I have tried the methods you suggested. However none seem to work.

    Method 1: The troubleshooter said it cannot detect any problems.

    Method 2: The problem still persists in Safe Mode- I opened note pad and started typing, but still no repeat keys even with filter keys turned off. I also tried turning filter keys on and off in safe mode, but no luck.

    Method 3: After I performed a clean boot, I noticed that when I typed on the log-in screen, the problem was fixed. But when I actually got into my desktop and opened my apps to type, the problem was still there.

    I am also certain that all the drivers on my laptop are upgraded, especially the one for the keyboard.

    Please let me know if I can do anything else.

    Really appreciate it.
