Windows 10: MSASCuil.exe in startup apps on Windows 10

Discus and support MSASCuil.exe in startup apps on Windows 10 in Windows 10 Ask Insider to solve the problem; There are other posts about this but it is hard to find concrete information.     MSASCuil.exe in startup apps on Windows 10


    There are other posts about this but it is hard to find concrete information. Recently, I've discovered a file MSASCuil.exe located on my start up apps.

    However, when I go to check what it is by right clicking it, the properties and open file location are greyed out and I cannot find it when I search for it on my C: Drive.

    Is this MSASCuil.exe something to worry about. I've ran a Malware Bytes and Windows Defender scan and nothing came up.

    where are you seeing MSASCuil?

    which version of windows 10 are you running?

    settings -> system -> about

    what is listed under windows specifications?

    msascuil (Microsoft Antivirus Security Centre User Interface Logo) was responsible for the icon appearing on the taskbar system tray, but apparently was later incorporated into the windows security health service and SecurityHealthSystray.exe.

    Adding programs to startup with Windows 7?

    You could add entries to the registry to launch the apps on startup, but it's easier to just add them to the startup foler as Newt suggested.
