Windows 10: MSASCuiL sudden appeared in Start-up

Hello,


So i looked inside my startup on Task manager and MSASCuiL was listed. I understand it is related to defender. when i click on it i cannot see the file location 'open file location'. From searches i have found this is a safe file but can also be a virus/malware. i have never noticed this inside the Start-Up on Task Manager before. How can i tell if this is the legitimate file or not and if it is not the legit file how do i remove the virus? Please Help.

where are you seeing MSASCuil?

which version of windows 10 are you running?

settings -> system -> about

what is listed under windows specifications?

msascuil (Microsoft Antivirus Security Centre User Interface Logo) was responsible for the icon appearing on the taskbar system tray, but apparently was later incorporated into the windows security health service and SecurityHealthSystray.exe.

Sudden automatic appearance of disk partition on Windows 10

Hi,

Please let us know, if you have made any changes prior to this issue.

I suggest you to remove the partition and check.

To delete an existing partition from Windows 10:

• Follow the instructions from step 1 to 5 from the above section.
• From the right pane of the Disk Management section, right-click the volume (partition) that you want to delete.
• From the context menu that appears, click Delete Volume.
