Windows 10: MSDisplayAdapter_2C firmware version 2.0.8442 stopped working in the last few days

It stopped working with my Windows 10 laptop in Jan 2023 - Windows Updates checked this morning. It still works with my Android phone - therefore not actually the adapter itself.Seems to be a problem with Windows Defender Firewall. The adapter works with Private Networks Connected and the Firewall turned on and Guest or Public Networks turned off. But not with Guest or Public Networks turned on recommended. There are a lot of possible reasons for this matter to occur. One possible cause is your
drivers
might be
outdated
or the issue is within the
device/hardware
itself. However, we need to make sure that it is the case. To isolate the issue, we have

  Have you tried downloading and installing the latest driver update available in your computer/laptop manufacturer's

methods of troubleshooting

Method 1: Run Hardware and Device Troubleshooter.

  Click on

Method 3:
Run SFC Scan.  

SFC
will
scan
and
run
an
automatic repair
to any
corrupted system files
that it will detect. We suggest that you perform it twice. To run an
SFC scan, follow these steps:

  Run
  Command Prompt as Administrator.  
  
• 
  Type
  sfc /scannow
  and hit
  Enter.   
  

If the issue persists, we suggest that you contact your
Device Vendor manufacturer
for further assistance.

Type Cover 2 not working with WIndows 10 (Release)

So, after suggesting checking for firmware updates, it does appear there was a firmware release July 23, 2015 that resolves this issue. The step-by-step directions as well as the firmware release history for the Surface Pro 2 can be found here.

 

PIN I setup stops working for login. It works for a couple of days and stops working

Did everything suggested.

Within 2-3 days I had same issue. PIN stopped working. I believe it is a class problem in my version.
