  1. MSERT utility

Hello, I am running the MSERT utility and during the scan it shows that 17 files are infected, but when it finishes the scan it says that the scan was completed successfully and nothing was found. Nevertheless, I do noticed that my computer is slower than normal.

    :)

    do i need MSERT

Hello tuhakreh, I'm Didi F., an independent advisor.

Here's the answer to your question from a well-known advisor on these forums, DaveM121 :

"The only time you need to download MSERT is if you have somehow been infected by a malware attack, it is an extra utility like MalwareBytes that can help to resolve a PC that has been infected

There is no need to run that in the normal course of events, Windows Security will protect you, unless you suspect your PC is infected . . ."
