Windows 10: MSFAX Activity Log does not show Status 'Busy', 'No answer', etc

I am working to learn why a recent MSFAX instance does not report feedback in the Activity Log > OutboxLOG.txt. In the past I have always see Status 'Busy', 'No Answer', 'No dial tone', etc for failed outbound faxes but this is not happening in Windows 2019 Standard. The only status for failed faxes is 'Transmission error' and the ErrorDesc is 'Unknown fatal error'.Is this a configuration in the modem, or maybe a registry setting that needs to change perhaps?An inquiring mind would like to know...

Before assisting further, I would like to ask you few questions:

• Does the issue persists on launching other Control panel windows or
  View network status and tasks window in particular?
• Since when are you facing the above issue, did you make any system changes prior to the issue?

You may be facing the above issue due to the missing files or presence of corrupted files & folders on your PC. Missing certain system files or presence of corrupted files & folders may cause some of the performance issues on the PC.



I suggest you to run SFC scan and DISM scan on your PC by following the steps below and check if the issue is resolved.



SFC scan is a utility in Windows that allows users to scan for corruptions in Windows system files and restore corrupted files. If a
Windows Resource Protection (WRP) file is missing or is corrupted, Windows may not behave as expected. For example, some Windows functions may not work, or Windows may crash.



Windows corruption errors may prevent Windows updates and service packs from installing. For example, an update might not install if a system file is damaged. The
DISM scan or System Update Readiness tool may help you to fix some Windows corruption errors.



Step 1: Open an Administrator command prompt
window by

• Press Windows logo + X keys on the keyboard and select
  Command Prompt (Admin) option.
• Click on Yes and continue. Provide administrator password if prompted.
• Check if it says Administrator: Command Prompt at the top of the command prompt window.

Step 2: Type the following commands in the
CMD Prompt:



dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

sfc /scannow



Step 3: Close the command window and check if the issue is resolved.

thermal status stuck at log?

hey guys so as the title says.. my thermal status is at log.. nothing has changed withmy laptop and it runs fine.. and ive never hit this before.. any ideas on how to get it to stop showing LOG? im hoping i didnt damage my processor.. it runs fine and was never overclocked :S *Frown
