Windows 10: MSFS not working after game pass expired, even though I have premium deluxe purchased.

I used to play MSFS on xbox and had game pass. Then, I moved to Pc, so i purchased premium deluxe MSFS. My game pass expired today and i went to load the sim but it says "looks like you are too early" which is the same message I got last time my subscription was not active. I assume if i renew game pass it will work, however i dont want to do this. Surely if you bought premium deluxe version of MSFS you dont also need game pass??? How do i run the sim without game pass??

I bought the Xbox Game Pass for PC and installed MSFS 2020 to try it out.

I liked it so I purchased the DVD 10 Disk version and the Deluxe variant.

Should I uninstall the current version of MSFS2020 that I installed using the Xbox game pass for PC before installing the Deluxe version from the ten DVDs? Or is there another way?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Installing downloaded version of MSFS 2020 over Game Pass for PC version

I have been using the Game Pass for PC version of MSFS 2020 Standard for the last month to try the new version of the game. I now wish to purchase, download and install the Premium Edition of MSFS 2020 to replace/overlay/convert the Game Pass version.

Are there any identified issues with performing this task? Will my existing logbook, graphics/other settings, liveries, cached files, etc. be retained? In other words, will the installation be seamless, keeping all my old data and simply require the "digital
key" to activate the software?
