    MSI and Click-to-run installations


    So, I have been assisting a Client with a a Project 2016 install.

    - They currently have O365 as per company licensing and Visio 2013 standard.

    - I have installed the Project Standard 2016 via the deployment.

    - Windows 10

    - They have a Standard VL license (MAK) which they provided

    - I keep getting an error that the license is for a VL version and the current installed projects is not

    - The XML for deployment states "ProjectStdVolume"

    - I used the dstatus command:

    LICENSE NAME: Office 16, Office16ProjectStdXC2RVL_KMS_ClientC2R edition

    LICENSE DESCRIPTION: Office 16, VOLUME_KMSCLIENT channel

    LICENSE STATUS: ---OOB_GRACE---

    ERROR CODE: 0x4004F00C

    - I tried activation via cmd and in the application itself.

    Cmd gives me an SKU error.

    Any Ideas as i cannot find anything online to assist.

    Insurgency wont install and run for me....

    I have played and have fully updated CS and Half life 2....
    I am using the newest client and installed the SDK.

    I am completely blown away, if i click the desktop icon it starts the sdk and then closes, and it doesn't show up in my game list...

    First mod attempt install here, followed the directions step by step on the mods website...

    Any ideas?

    Cannot install MSI files in Windows 10

    Easiest way is to start the msi file via Windows command line and open the command line 'run as administrator'!

    • Click Start.

    • In the Start Search box, type cmd, and then press CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER

    • Switch in the cmd to the MSI path and install the msi via cmd

    Windows Installer Error: This installation package cannot be opened.

    Thank you for posting in Community.

    We are glad to provide the assistance required to help you answer your query.

    The above error can occur if the locally cached Windows Installer package (*.msi) file is damaged or corrupted.

    To rectify the above, I suggest that you try the steps mentioned below and check if you are able to install the software successfully.

    • Open the \Windows\Installer folder on your computer's hard disk.
    • Right-click any file with an .msi extension.
    • Click Properties on the shortcut menu. The
      Subject       box on the Summary tab contains the name of the product that installed the .msi file.
    • Repeat steps 2 and 3 for each .msi file in the \Installer folder, and delete the .msi file for the software that you are trying to install.
