    Hi Experts,

I am using GP for windows 10 clients limit access. Everything running well until a recent added installerxxxx.msi; It has been added to the whitelistrun only specified windows applicationsin GP and the windows installer turn off was disabled, but it still cannot run.

Is there any special requriement for add *.msi file to the whitelist before it running?

    Allowing Updates Through Whitelisted Firewall

I am trying to allow Windows Update through a whitelisted system. I have allowed svchost.exe TCP 80 and 443 for BITS, Windows Update and the Update Orchestrator... what am I missing here? I even have a list of trusted site added.

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

Windows Installer Error: This installation package cannot be opened.

    Hi AJ,

Thank you for posting in Community.

We are glad to provide the assistance required to help you answer your query.

The above error can occur if the locally cached Windows Installer package (*.msi) file is damaged or corrupted.

To rectify the above, I suggest that you try the steps mentioned below and check if you are able to install the software successfully.

    • Open the \Windows\Installer folder on your computer's hard disk.
    • Right-click any file with an .msi extension.
    • Click Properties on the shortcut menu. The
      Subject
box on the Summary tab contains the name of the product that installed the .msi file.
    • Repeat steps 2 and 3 for each .msi file in the \Installer folder, and delete the .msi file for the software that you are trying to install.

    Hope this helps
