Windows 10: MSI GS66 - Optimus not working properly after the latest Windows Update. Every...

As the title says, every program or executive that Windows 10 utilizes uses the dedicated graphics card instead of the integrated one. Opening Task Manager or other system programs triggers the dGPU to turn on when using the Nvidia Optimus Hybrid GPU mode. This did not happen on previous versions of Windows. Does anyone have any fix or encountered the same problem?

I tried reinstalling both graphic cards' drivers, reinstalling the MSI software, manually changing all the programs' gpu usage to the integrated graphics card but to no avail.

We suggest that you try to run Hardware and Device troubleshooter using the steps below:

• Write Troubleshooting in the search box and hit enter.
• Select the Hardware and Device options from the list.
• Click Run the troubleshooter.

We also suggest that you update the keyboard driver and check if it work.

First of all, I would suggest you to install all the latest updates released by Microsoft from Windows Updates and check if that helps or not. And to update your drivers, please follow the steps and let us know if it helps fixing the issue or not:

Open Device Manager by pressing Windows key + X, click on
Control Panel; select System and Maintenance.

• Click on Device Manager.
• In Device Manager, locate Keyboard and double-click to check if it’s working properly.
• Go to Driver tab, then click on Update Driver. And follow the instructions.

My menu cleanup code was not updated properly after adding new context menu item (Hide attached monitoring panel) for empty list of active hardware monitoring sources case. So wrong items (mark minimum template) are displayed when they shouldn't be actually visible. That will be fixed.
