Windows 10: MSI Laptop getting stuck at MSI Logo when trying to upgrade

I have a MSI GE62 Apache laptop that I have had since 2016. It originally came with just a 1TB hard drive that everything was on. I recently purchased and installed a 500GB Samsumg970EVO SSD solely for the OS to be stored on so that the computer can boot up quickly (among other benefits). I went the extra mile to uninstall all useless software, save all my files to my OneDrive, and then I used the MSI System recovery to do a factory wipe of the entire system (My goal was to start fresh).

I reinstalled the OS onto the SSD and began doing system updates and adding files and applications. Everything seemed okay, but then I was trying to install AutoCAD 2020 and it kept throwing me an "Operating System Does Not Meet Requirements" so I went to do even more updates but this time they weren't installing correctly. My computer would get stuck at the MSI logo upon restart, and after several hours of waiting I called the quits on the update and tried again and again but same result.

Then I decided maybe I did something wrong when I was migrating files or something so I did another factory wipe and went right for it with all the updates but again same result. I just tried downloading the latest version of Windows right from their website and installing it with the Windows 10 Update Wizard, but alas I have met the same fate.

Now I turn to you, reddit. I am taking classes online and participating in a 20-day challenge for a Web Development course so I desperately need my laptop to be functioning again (I could live without the update I suppose but what's the fun in that?). Thanks in advance for all your help!

MSI bios boot logo (frozen?)

If you have any USB device connected, disconnect for now.
Go into BIOS:

1. At boot time, the BIOS is checking for all devices attached to the PC, turn off the MSI boot logo under boot menu so you can see the text displayed of each step and note which device is hanging.
2. Under Advance->Windows 8/8.1/10: Enable MSI Fast Boot so that BIOS will bypass checking most devices that are none essential for booting. This will improve the boot process. Note that this is different from fast boot that you set in Windows.

Some third party drivers that you downloaded from the MSI website might not be up to date, try to download the latest driver(s) from the original manufacturers such Intel Chip Set, Network driver etc....

Thank you for your suggestion. Upon checking the msi web site, it looks as of now my GX720 laptop is not listed as upgradeable to windows 10. I guess I can stop trying for now.

I you had bothered to go to the MSi manufacturers website for model compatibility, as Microsoft suggests in their literature, you would have found the MSi list of their Windows 10 compatible products.

NONE of the A Series Notebooks are listed and therefore are NOT upgradeable because Win 10 Drivers are not available and some hardware may physically be incompatible.

I too have an A6000 Series MSi and I'm just fine with Windows 7, with no touch screen on the A6000 and very little other difference between 7 and 10, there really is no reason to upgrade to 10.
