MSI RTX 3080 gaming laptop. i got two errors for two updates. One is: error is 0x80248007 for Intel Corporation - SoftwareComponent - 3.1222.726.1 and the other error is 0x80070103 for IntelR Corporation - System - 10.29.0.7767

There is problem while installing "SMS/MMS" driver which is listed in "Other Devices" in "Device Manager".

 

RTX 3070 ti or RTX 3080?

I was in the same position as the OP. I had an aging MSI GTX 1650 Super that whilst very reliable needed replacing.

I ended up buying an MSI Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti 8gm Suprim X. I'm not a gamer (might get into MS Flight Simulator one day but am more into content creation. I nearly purchased a RTX 3080 but decided against it.

Price was key decider for me also (prices in New Zealand dollars):
My 3070Ti cost $NZ1368
A 3080 here are around $NZ1550 - 1900
A 3080 Ti costs circa $NZ2300

Thanks for the input. I have been checking Google and based on the info I have gotten (thanks for the links BTW), I can't justify the 3080 based on my usage pattern, but lots of people online say don't buy a 3070 ti because of price performance issues. However, here in Canuck-land, the price of the 3070 ti I have been looking at is only $30 more expensive than a 3070.

While we are here, does anyone have a recommendation for a brand? I was looking at MSI, but I see that EVGA has some units just a little above my price range. ASUS, too. I would love to hear what some of you guys recommend.
