Windows 10: MSI Z490I UNIFY motherboard Windows 10 instal fails on restart

Hi,



I have tried installing Windows 10 on a WD 240 G M.2 module from a SanDisk Cruzer Blade USB.


I created the USB with the windows installer and everything runs perfectly, it boots from the USB, windows install starts, installs all the files, but when it restarts it fails to boot into windows.


UEFI is enabled, no RAID only AHCI

All other SATA drives are unplugged

USB plugged into mobo directly, I have tried both gen 2 and 3 usb ports


The mobo seems to be changing the boot order automatically.

Windows Updates failed to instal

I just did step one and they have just all installed.... thank you so much.... it was quite frustrating having that update window pop up every 5 minutes and failing to instal every time

Windows 10 fails to update


When you finish testing the Avast suggestion, make sure that you restart your machine.

Then if the issue persists, please return to the trouble shooting list in post# 89

I think there are three steps that remain; the WU troubleshooter, reset WU components, and manual WU reset.

 

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
