Windows 10: MSVBVM50.dll was not found

Hello, I'm trying to run a freshly installed program called Heaven & Earth but I'm getting an error telling me that MSVBVM50.dll was not found. I tried reinstalling the program but it didn't work. I found other threads on this site by support staff that linked the missing .dll file, but none of those download links are working anymore. Can anyone help me out?

For an old application i would need the MSVBVM50.DLL file but i m not confident in the sources i found online.

Do microsoft still have that file somewhere?

Hi all,

My company has been struggling with this issue for a while, and I've only now found that this issue applies to other programs as well. We have a very old (and unfortunately very essential) application that worked well on windows 7, but hasn't worked on windows 10 at all. The error code that comes up is "The code execution cannot proceed because MSVBVM50.DLL was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem."

Unfortunately, this program can't even get that far, as attempting to run the .exe file results in that system error. I have gone through numerous threads on the microsoft support site, but all the links to download this file are now non-existent, and I definitely do not want to download this file from a third party site. Is there any way I can get the MSVBVM50.DLL file from microsoft directly?
