Windows 10: Msvcr120.dll and Msvcp120.dll are missing but C++ 2013 is installed

Im attempting to play a game that requires the Visual c++ redistributable 2013, which i have already installed, but the program still reports that the dlls are missing. what am i doing wrong?

latest update has resulted in lots of .exe bad image pop-ups and i can't open excel either.

I lost this error as pressed Ok too soon sorry

If I open excel I get

and excel won't open

Error 0x000012f

After installing the Visual C ++ Redistributable Packages for Visual Studio 2013, it appears that alarms about MSVCP120.dll and MSVCR120.dll files have now disappeared.

The computer has been used for about 14 hours and no alarms have yet been detected.

In addition to all other measures, so have

1) Redistributable Packages for Visual Studio 2015 were installed - did not work well,

2) Then Redistributable Packages for Visual Studio 2012 were installed - did not go any further!

3) Recently, Redistributable Packages for Visual Studio 2013 were installed and it appears that Error 0x000012f has been discontinued.

It was interesting to know why the error occurred at all after a Microsoft Windows update.

Additionally, why you need to back up to Redistributable Packages for Visual Studio 2013 to get the MSVCP120.dll and MSVCR120.dll files running again.

Will now close this error and thank you for all the help.

Try uninstalling then reinstalling both versions.

 

That doesn't feel like it'll help but ill try

 

The application that needed it now just crashes, the same part of it works in variations of the application that i am using.
I dont think you guys can help after this point, so i'll mark it solved, because i have all the files as needed.

 

It will help by reinstating all the correct files and registry settings.
