I have three video monitors. I have never had any problems with my custom display configuration, in which I define the positioning and order of the screens. After updating Windows 11 from version 23h2 to 24h2, every time I restart Windows, or the system returns from hibernation or opens an application in full screen mode, the system returns the screen configuration to the default, resetting the entire custom configuration. In fact, even if I disconnect the secondary monitors and leave only the main monitor connected, the system always returns the screen refresh rate to 60hz, forcing me to reco

Computuer restarts immediately when trying to hibernate

My laptop has suddenly started automatically restarting when I try to hibernate. I have tried many solutions I found on the internet and this forum.

• I disabled fast restart
• ran power troubleshooter
• reset the power plan defaults
• updated bios
• tried a repair install
• disabled hybrid sleep in power settings

I have already updated to v 1909. I am running Win 10 Pro.

The fast start disable fixed the auto restart on shutdown but not or hibernate. Sleep works fine. Please advise what other steps to try.

 

Reseting monitor to default settings?

Is it possibel to reset the monitor to default settings?

My problem is that I accidently set the monitor to 100Hz, so it went black in windows. I can get into safe mode with no problems, but in normal mode the monitor stays black. Is it possible to set the Hz in safe mode? I can't access the NVIDIA control panel in safe mode, and the monitor properties say 'Use Defaults'.

Monitor model is: Dell D1226H.
