Windows 10: Multi monitor issues Windows 11

I recently had to update my motherboard, and am using Rog Strix B550. At the same time I've upgraded to Windows 11. I have the same three monitors as I've been using in Windows 10 for ages with no issues, but now I have a strange problem. I have a Dell U2410 which I use as the main display, a smaller Dell E153FP VGA which I use for extra space and a Cintiq Pro24 for working on. In the past, I have used the two Dell monitors on their own when I'm not working on the Cintiq as it's a waste of power having all three on unnecessarily. However, now if I turn the Cintiq off it stops the smaller Del

Portable monitor multi-touch not working on startup (Windows 11)

Hi,

I recently purchased a portable monitor with multi-touch (Visual Beat 15.6 from Amazon). I connect it to my windows 11 computer via a USB-C cable. The video works perfectly. The touchscreen is recognized by windows as a mouse running windows default driver.

On every startup, the portable monitor will be recognized as a mouse (i.e. multi-touch does not work. Moving my figure on the screen will bring the mouse pointer to my finger and moves with it. I can fix the issue by going into device manager > HID-compliant touch screen > disable / enable as suggested here: Enable and disable your touchscreen in Windows - Microsoft Support. However, I do not want to do this on every bootup.

I have tried removing and reinstall the touchscreen "device" multiple times, but it is still the same.

The issue only happens on cold startup. If I restart the computer when multi-touch is working, it boots with multi-touch working.

I tried the same monitor on a windows 10 laptop, and it works flawlessly there.

Please suggest what I can do.

 

Windows 10 KB3213986 Update Cripples Multi-monitor Gaming

The recent Cumulative Update for Windows 10 (KB3213986) cripples multi-monitor gaming, looking at the way Microsoft worded its "known issues" text. After the update is applied, users with multi-monitor setups could experience screen stuttering or clipped screens when running 3D apps on machines with more than one monitor. The only workaround Microsoft suggests for now entails running your 3D apps in non-fullscreen modes, such as windowed-maximized (pseudo-fullscreen) or windowed modes. Microsoft also goes as far as to suggest that people with multi-monitors could try starting their 3D apps with just one monitor connected.

"Users may experience delayed or clipped screens while running 3D rendering apps (such as games) on systems with more than one monitor," the change-log for the KB3213986 update reads. "To work around this issue please consider the following options: 1. Running the application in Windows mode (not full screen), or 2. Starting the application with only one monitor connected," it adds. The update effectively cripples multi-monitor gaming, using technologies such as AMD Eyefinity or NVIDIA 3D Vision Surround.
