    Windows 10 boot-up very slow

    Windows 10 boot-up takes 20-30 minutes. Using task manager, I observed that the hard drive utilization is pegged at 100% while the boot-up is in progress. CPU utilization is minimal during boot-up. Processor is 2.1 GHz, 4.0 GB ram, 405 GB free space on
    hard drive. Hard drive has been optimized. Why is the hard drive 100% utilized for 20-30 minutes? Is this the cause of the slow boot-up?

    Update problems

    Looking in task manager at the resource monitor, it appears that the RuntimeBroker.exe process is gobbling up RAM. I have only a notepad app running along with the task manager and this Firefox to add this note.
